As I was about to say goodbye to my friend on the phone, she asked me a question to which I responded: “I have learned to never say never ever again”. I don’t know if that makes sense to you, but for me it does.
After a number of months trying my best to get out of a situation I was in, I finally gave up fighting. I was exhausted. It was like being in quick sand. The more you fight, the more you sink. As I was sharing the whole situation with Paul my friend, I simply told him: I have to stop the insanity. As Einstein said, "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
Thank God that, over the years, I have learned (most of the time, the hard way) to rely on a High Power. I had to let go and let God. Boy did He deliver!
The whole situation reminded me of a poem I read a number of years ago. It reads like this:
Broken Dreams
As children bring their broken toys
With tears for us to mend,
I brought my broken dreams to God
Because He was my friend.
But then instead of leaving Him
In peace to work alone,
I hung around and tried to help
With ways that were my own.
At last I snatched them back and cried,
"How could you be so slow"
"My child," He said, "What could I do?
You never did let go."

I am still in awe to what I am experiencing now. All I can tell you is that “I have learned to never say never ever again”.
More details to come. Let me first enjoy this haha
Moral of the story? Do you want to stop the insanity? Just learn to never say never ever again.
Always a pleasure
